Robert Luis

Robert Luis is the founder, co-owner and A&R for Tru Thoughts, the record label based in Brighton, England. He has worked with and introduced a whole host of acts into the musical world, signing Quantic, Bonobo, Belleruche and Alice Russell and releasing their debut albums, as well as signing and releasing albums from the likes of Moonchild, Flowdan, Nostalgia 77, WheelUP, Footshooter, MELONYX, Hidden Orchestra, Zed Bias, Ebi Soda, Tara Lily, Anchorsong, Sly5hAve, Steven Bamidele, Bryony Jarmon-Pinto, London Posse, Slowe, Bruk Rogers, Omar, Slowe, Crafty893, Rebecca Vasmant, Nikitch & Kuna Maze and Hot 8 Brass Band amongst others. His has been DJing for many years at clubs and festivals in Brighton and across the globe and also selecting and presenting tunes on the weekly Tru Thoughts radio show Unfold. His background has always been in DJing, promoting and spinning at some legendary club nights in Brighton and booking and DJing with the likes of Mr Scruff, Basement Jaxx, Ashley Beedle, Groove Armada, James Lavelle, Fabio, Gilles Peterson, Roni Size and 4 Hero.
